Action:

A mineral responsible for many body functions.
A deficiency may lead to Low blood pressure, abdominal distension, loss of appetite, muscular weakness, 'pins & needles', muscle cramps, abnormal heart beat, water retention / oedema, dizziness, intense thirst.

Body Effects: potassium works with magnesium to open coronary arteries and other blood vessels. When associated with calcium, it closes and constricts vessels.
Regulates the body acid/alkaline balance.

Uses:

For Normal Water Balance, Muscle Contraction, Heart Function, General Health Maintenance.

Food Source:

Meat, milk, wholegrains, potatoes, green vegetables, fresh fruit, cider vinegar. In the herbs alfalfa, chamomile, carrot leaves, dandelion root, kelp, nettles, plantain leaves.
